Do you weight over 200 lbs but struggle losing the weight? Like many other people, you’ve probably attempted to lose it multiple times with no success.

I’m sure it could bring tears to your eyes just to reflect back on it, all of the struggle with nothing to show for it… but let’s forget about that. You need to understand something very, very important.

The Past Does Not Matter… Only The Present!

Yes, there is a lot of blaming one could do to themselves, and others, but what would that change?

Simple focus on the present.

  • Where are you going in life…
  • What you have left to accomplish…
  • Things you still want to see and experience…

It’s the only thing you have power over anyway!

Why focus on the negatives, when you could look forward and power on. Make those lasting changes that will give you a longer, happier life.

Sure, it’s not going to be easy. Your transformation won’t happen overnight. It may take you a year to get to your end goal.

But that’s ok.

Once you make the right changes a year will fly by before you know it. Just think, this time next year you can be in a happier and healthier place than you could have ever imagined.

If you follow these 7 steps, you will get fast results and be on the right track to changing your life for the better.

1. Do NOT exercise.

That’s right, I said it.

Many people think that you need to be in the gym 24/7 but exercise actually plays a minor role in weight loss.

In fact, a recent study done by Current Biology took 322 adults from 5 different countries through a calorie reduction weight loss program.  They split the groups between those that did exercise and those that did not.

It turns out, adding in exercise did not play ANY major role in calories burned or weight lost. And fort hose that did see changes, it was very minor.

In the beginning, you need to save your willpower for what really matters… WHAT YOU ARE EATING

Exercising will put unnecessary stress on your joints, cause you to be hungrier, and is just an overall risk when being 200+ lbs.

You can definitely still do small things like go for walks around town, but jumping straight into strenuous workout routines will lower chances of long term success.

Only after you have created your healthy eating habits should you start to add in real exercise.

2. Do NOT obsess over calories.

Another HUGE mistake most people make at 200+ lbs is focusing too much on calories.

What many people fail to realize is that we gain unwanted weight due to our hormones. It rarely has anything to do with calories or exercise.

High cortisol, excess estrogen, critically low testosterone, insulin resistance, and MANY others are likely affecting you.

So when you do count calories, the weight won’t drop fast enough. Sometimes it won’t budge at all.

So what do you have to do instead of counting calories?

3. CUT the carbs.

This goes hand-in-hand with the hormonal problems the body experiences at this weight, especially with insulin.

The chances the body is insulin-resistant at this level is 90%+.

Cut out carbohydrates for at least the first month to help your body get into fat-burning shape.

This is exactly why we suggest the ketogenic diet to all women who are looking to lose weight. It’s the basis around the 28-Day Keto Challenge, but we’ll talk about that more later.

4. Eat some protein, Eat MUCH MORE fat.

The problem many people have with diets is when they remove one type of food, carbs in our case, they do not replace it with another.

Without carbs your body does not have a fuel source…

That’s where fat comes in.

When you lower the number of carbs you eat on a daily basis your body will start trying to burn fat for fuel, this is a process known as ketosis.

If you can teach your body to become a fat-burner instead of a sugar-burner, you will start to melt the pounds away.

What else can you do?

5. Drink lemon water EVERY MORNING.

This is known as a “detox water”.

Simply drink a glass of warm lemon water every morning. This works for a variety of reasons and is one of the easiest healthy habits to establish. This drink provides crucial nutrients for the body and is super EASY to do.

It is great to keep you energized and helps to suppress your appetite in the morning.

Just make sure to use a real lemon and not some lemon juice concentrate.

6. Do NOT do the “small changes”  approach.

For some reason many articles online will tell you that if you want to lose weight, you need to make minor changes. Obviously, this leads to minor results.

According to the latest science, strict diets win out vs. standard diets. Those who lose the most weight in the first 2-4 weeks of dieting have the greatest weight loss results in the following year (1).

This means that losing weight fast will better impact you in both the short-term and the long-term.  The most effective thing you can do is actually a cold turkey approach.

Losing weight FAST will help motivate you to lose more. It gives you momentum. Once you start it is really hard to stop.

7. Invest in yourself and your life.
