Philly Cheesesteak Casserole

Cut out the bread and just stick to the deliciousness of the philly cheesesteak!

This keto philly cheesesteak casserole will be finished in just under and hour. It is the perfect meal for the full family or for those trying to meal prep! Just cut the casserole up into portions and eat it throughout the week.

Ingredients

 1 ½ lbs sirloin steak
 1 tbsp unsalted butter
 2 tsp minced garlic
 120 g green bell pepperschopped
 8 oz white mushroomroughly chopped
 25 g yellow onionthinly chipped
 1 cup mozzarella cheeseshredded
 6 oz cream cheesesoftened
 5 oz provolone cheese slices
 1 egg
 ½ tsp black pepper
 ¼ tsp salt

Directions

Slice the steak into thin strips, then cut into 1/2 inch pieces.

Start to preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In a large pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add garlic and heat until fragrant. Add steak and cook until browned. Transfer steak to a bowl and set aside. remove liquid from pan.

In the same pan add the mushrooms, peppers, and onions. Cook until vegetables are tender and liquid has evaporated. Remove pan from heat.

In a mixing bowl, add egg, shredded mozzarella, cream cheese, pepper, salt, and mix until combined. Stir in the cooked steak and vegetables.

Spray your casserole baking dish with non stick cooking spray. Pour your mixture into the baking dish. Place provolone cheese slices along the top of mixture.

Place baking dish in oven on the middle rack. bake under edges of casserole start becoming golden brown and cheese is bubbling, roughly about 20-25 minutes. After removing from oven allow it to sit for a few minutes to cool before cutting and serving.
